Norfolk Southern, one of the US’ premier transportation companies, has improved the UX of key SAP transactions, resulting in intuitive screen designs which allow Norfolk Southern’s employees to perform simple and straightforward processes both in the office and on-the-go.

Challenges

• Clunky and confusing graphical user interface

• Transactions that were difficult to access and required many steps

• Task approvals were a pain

Outcomes

• Redesigned 12 screens being used by 2,300 employees

• Nine apps, designed using SAP's Fiori and being used by 5,500 employees

• Cut down on number of steps needed to perform actions
