When creating a new sales order, one of the most important aspects is the input of items. For this, the new SAP Fiori application Create Sales Orders will be the new face of SAP S/4HANA order management. It provides an improved user experience: a simplified item creation, intuitive keyboard navigation, and a highly adaptable item table.

Simple keyboard navigation
As this SAP Fiori application targets professional users, mouse-free interaction is essential for high efficiency. Users can carry out processes in the item table by navigating with the arrow keys to select the relevant product, pressing TAB to move to the next field and then adding the requested quantity. A new row can also be added just by using the keyboard.
Moreover, item creation functionalities like pricing, Available-To Promise, sub-items determinations (like free goods/ Bill of Material explosion) are processed in real time and shown to the user.
Another way for users to input new items in any sales order is by copying and pasting from Excel. The products and quantities are copied directly into the item table and the sales order will be updated automatically.
Further, the item table is flexible: New columns, even customer specific extension fields, can be added to, rearranged in, or removed from the table.
By selecting an item, users can perform quick actions highlighted in the top right part of the item table. As the following screenshot shows, they can easily set or remove a billing block, update the price, or delete an item.
