Hi everyone,

I was trying out the new status indicators with custom shapes and thresholds to help users understand what a temperature value meant and if they should take some action on it or not, but in the design guidelines it mentions that we could only use the SVG icons provided in the Visual Design Specification document that is stored (I think) in SAP internal server.

Is it possible to have some public copy of it? I searched and went through the class documentation and samples, but couldn’t find any.

Can anyone help me?

Thank you in advance,

Hi Pedro,

The Status Indicator guideline now includes a ZIP file for downloading the predefined shapes:

See: https://experience.sap.com/fiori-design-web/status-indicator/#shape-definition

From SAPUI5 version 1.54, you can also define custom shapes. The design guideline is due to be updated this month, but you can already get this information from the API reference (see: https://sapui5.hana.ondemand.com/#/api/sap.suite.ui.commons.statusindicator.CustomShape/controlProperties).

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Susanne

Hi Susanne,

Thank you very much for the help and the update.

With your input I was able to get my little demo running.

For those who might be curious here is a photo of 3 custom shapes with semantic thresholds side-by-side: First two with the one provided in the UI5 sample code alongside another one provided in the samples Susanne mentioned, all responding to the same slider values.
