I have two questions about Fiori Guidelines:

  • When will there be a new update?
  • Is there a PDF version?

The second aspect is important because of many corporate review processes that define that guidelines must be available in an offline version – even if designer use an online version to validate their work.

Hi Tobias,

Thank you for your post.

The SAP Fiori Design Guidelines’ next update is planned for the first quarter of 2016.

Currently, there is no PDF version available. It is planned and will be published in 2016.

Stay tuned!

Best regards,

Hi Sabina,

Is there a way to speed up the planning, for example by publishing Beta fiori guidelines ?

My customers are waiting for a long time, because SAP (Dina Glatzel) first promise it will be published in 2015-Q4.

The current Fiori Guidelines are outdate and not representative because of

  • mostly every quarter there will be released a new UI5 release
  • the release of UI Addon 2.0
  • new controls in 1.30, 1.32 and 1.34
  • release of SAP Build & Splash
  • new floorplans using annotations like OVP

On which UI5 release will be the next Fiori Guidelines ?

Will there also be a Axure stencil version available ?

Hi Robert,

the team is working very hard to publish the Fiori Design Guidelines for UI5 1.30. Although there is a little bit of a delay to our original planning, we are still positive that we can keep your wait to a couple of months. I cannot make any promises regarding a concrete release date. As for our Axure and PPT Stencils, they will be released together with the Guidelines. Once the Fiori Design Guidelines for UI5 1.30 have been published the team will start working on the update for UI5 1.32 and 1.34.

Best, Dina

Hi Dina,

2 questions:

  1. regarding 1.32/34:
That will be based on Fiori 2.0, or?
I am a little bit confused, I thought “Fiori 1.0”, so ui5 up until 1.30, is kind of “out of your focus”.
  2. To what extent is SPLASH/BUIILD based on those guidelines
and what UI5 version is behind that – in other words, is Fiori 2.0 already implemented for SPLASH/BUILD?

thanks & regds, Clemens
