Users can access the tile catalog directly from the launchpad home page. The tile catalog displays all the available tiles, which are organized into catalog groups. A search field and a group selection option help users locate specific tiles.

Frequently used tiles can be added to the home page, and lesser used tiles can be accessed directly from the catalog, without adding them to the home page.

The tile catalog is provided by the SAP Fiori launchpad. Apps use this tile catalog and do not have their own individual designs.

Responsiveness

Like the home page, the tile catalog is fully responsive. Smaller tiles appear on smaller screens so that at least two tiles can be shown side by side.

Components

The tile catalog contains all the tiles that the user is allowed to see. These tiles are organized into catalog groups, which are provided by the administrator. A search field and a catalog group selector are shown above the first group to help users locate specific tiles.

Behavior and Interaction

Each tile offers two actions:

1) Clicking the main area takes the user to the app or page connected to this tile, as on the home page.

2) The plus ( ) icon below a tile allows the user to add this tile to a group on the home page.

Adding Tiles (to the Home Page)

Clicking or tapping the plus ( ) icon opens the Add to Groups dialog, where the user can select one or more home page groups to which this tile will be added. The user can also remove the tile from the home page by unchecking it in the dialog.

When the user clicks OK, a confirmation message appears and the tile is added to the selected group or groups on the home page. A check mark replaces the plus ( ) icon if the tile is shown on the home page.

Navigating (to Apps)

Clicking the tile takes the user to the target as if the tile was on the launchpad home page. This allows users to navigate to lesser used apps directly from the catalog without adding the tile to the launchpad home page.
