• Inform users in the notification area when you don’t want the message to interrupt users or block them from working.
• The message appears in the top right corner, so users might miss the message. The duration that the message appears on the screen should correlate to the length of the message text: the longer the text, the longer the duration should be.
• Keep the message as short as possible.

Don’t

• Don’t set the message duration to less than 5 seconds.
