Intro

To present data graphically, you can add a chart to an object page section or a list report with the multiple content layout with SAP Fiori elements. Charts are also an integral part of applications based on the analytical list page

A chart displays measures and dimensions that categorize the measures. Aggregation calculations are performed on the measures.

Charts With SAP Fiori elements for OData V2, for business objects or services that are not draft enabled or that are read-only.

With SAP Fiori elements for OData V4 when a chart is defined for a draft-enabled business object. The chart displays only active data, not data entered for an unsaved draft record.

Chart Header Visible by default. You can disable it.
Personalization of Chart Settings Enabled by default to allow users to personalize chart settings.

With SAP Fiori elements for OData V4, you can:

  • Control the visibility of chart personalization options for ColumnSort and Type.
  • Turn off the personalization.
Views (Variant Management) Available. Enablement of the personalization of chart settings is a prerequisite for views.
Filter Option in Chart Personalization For an optimal user experience, we recommend against the enablement of filtering in the list report and the analytical list page.

For the filter option to be available via the chart settings personalization, the personalization of chart settings must be enabled.

By default, the filter option is:

  • Disabled when views are not enabled.
  • Disabled when views are enabled at the page level.
  • Enabled when views are enabled at the chart level.
Custom Actions in Chart Toolbar Available. You can also determine when the action buttons are enabled or disabled.
Colors Based on Criticality

A chart’s colors can indicate the criticality of the data values displayed, for example:

  • Green for success
  • Yellow for warning
  • Red for error
